Pest Control On A Monday
Well this morning was supposed to be a quiet one! The police firearms officer was due to call to inspect the security arrangements for the guns that are sometimes needed with pest control here in the north west. Thankfully our local police are very good and respect our need to own and use firearms in the course of a Lancashire pest controllers working year. So after a brief check and a few questions it was time to put my feet up and have the rest of the morning off- YEAH RIGHT! Just as I was settling down with a cupper the phone rang and a lady in distress needed my help as she had seen a rat in the garden. I always try to provide a fast response to calls where customers are anxious or worried, as most people are when they come across a rat in or around their home.
The afternoon consisted of a spot of farm mole control. The busiest time of year for moles is over but I still get the odd call, today’s job was from a farmer with a re-seeded grass field and a few tunnel traps where laid to be checked tomorrow.
